It is 1:00 pm the next day. Donovan is still sleeping and has yet to realize he is more then just Donovan Freeman now. It’s time to wake up our soon to be hero.
Donovan is just starting to wake up from last night’s headache. “What the hell happened last night? At least my head is feeling better.” The phone rings and Donovan checks his caller id to see that it is his boy Gavin.
“Yo what’s good DFree? Dude I’ve been calling you all morning to see if we were gonna chill later” Gavin said. “What time is it G?” asked Donovan.
“My man it is 1 in the afternoon what have you been doing?” asked Gavin. “I had a real bad headache and I passed out I think. That was around 6 last night. I can’t believe I was out that long.” Donovan stated. “I can’t believe you missed that crazy-ass light show last night. Wait up you said you passed out last night?” Asked Gavin
“Yeah I was going to call an ambulance because of my migraine and before I could reach my phone I blacked out. Why what’s up?” asked Donovan.
“Homie turn on CNN right now. They have been talking about that light show all morning. They have also been talking about the mass of people rushed to emergency rooms last night for pounding headaches. They said everyone passed out all of a sudden at the exact same time.” Gavin stated anxiously.
“Look I’ll be at your crib in about 20 minutes so get your ass up and start watching the news. Holla.” Gavin hung up the phone. Donovan reached for the TV remote and turned on CNN. Tony Harris Kira Philips was on the news talking to some scientist about the lights from last night.
“….Believe that these strange meteoric lights were from the Perseids at all. We have been monitoring the Perseids since last year and more so over the last week and as we observe it now it is as it should be. The phenomenon we saw last night was something totally different. Some of my colleagues think that it was an exploding asteroid that sent fragments into our atmosphere. But the real question lies in the radiation we were able to sample.” “Doctor what radiation are you speaking of?” asked Kira. “Our scientist in the International Space Station, were able to get a sample of the dust that was trailing the fragments. It reacts explosively to human DNA, but” stated the scientist.
Donovan turned of the TV wondering what all this meant. As he got out of bed his sweat pants fell to the floor. “What the hell? Why is my bed soaked?” Donovan asked himself. He leaned in closer to his bed to smell the substance and determined that it was sweat. A lot of sweat that soaked into the mattress.
“What the hell is going on with me? That’s like 20lbs of sweat.” Donovan ran into his bathroom and got on his scale. 281lbs? How the hell did I sweat off 20lbs over night? And why do I feel so energized? The Phone rang again, this time it was Donovan’s cousin Tony.
“What up Tony?” asked Donovan. “Yo where the hell is your brother at?” screamed Tony. “First I am not having the best start to my day. Second you need to stop yelling at me like I’m your kid. Third I have like 10 brothers so which one are you talkin bout?” stated Donovan firmly. “I’m talkin about the one who I let you talk me into getting a job at more store who hasn’t showed up today and hasn’t called in yet. Is he Home?”
“No actually he doesn’t live with me anymore. He was trying to make things work with his daughter’s mom so he got a crib about 2 months ago and now he stays out in Bankhead.”
“That would be around the time he started coming in late to work. Well I just talked to his supervisor and he said he’s fired. So tell your brother not to ask me for anymore favors.” Tony hung up the phone.
Why the hell did he call me? He’s been to Ryan’s crib mad time’s to smoke weed. Donovan goes into the bathroom to start his morning routine. When he takes his clothes off, he notices the weight loss. Why I am actually looking better. Maybe this isn’t such a bad thing.
Fifteen minutes later there is a knock at the door. “Yo G-Money did you bring some grub?”
“Not for you. You don’t have any food here?” asked Gavin. “You don’t have any leftover Burger King?” Gavin asked while looking at the Burger King bag on the tray table.
“If I did I would have eaten it already. Look dude I lost 20lbs last night. Look at my bed it’s soaked in sweat. How is that possible?”
“Since last night anything is possible. Why aren’t you watching the news? All types of crazy shit have been happening to the people who passed out last night. They said one chick skin was so cold to the touch it froze the liquid in her IV.” Gavin Stated
Donovan stared at Gavin blinking and wondering what was happening to the world. “Yo homie you got some jelly in there?” Gavin asked. “Yeah I’ll get it.” Donovan went to open the refrigerator and felt a twitch in muscles throughout his body. When he went to open the refrigerator he pulled the entire door of the hinges and held it up.
“Uh G, I think I may have some issues over here” “Holy Shit!”

The Beginning
August 12, 2008 Atlanta, GA and it is a hot one. Today the Perseids Meteor shower will begin. It will be more then just a beautiful light show this year, it will be the beginning of few humans new lives. Heroes will be born today. And with good there most be evil. Today will be Donovan Freeman's new birthday, as he will become the future symbol of hope and peace for most people in the world. For right now he is just another security guard.
"Excuse me folks, but you can't stand up there sorry" Today was just another hot day out in front of the Cable News Network (CNN) building. Donovan was posted out in front of the building trying to keep people from parking, climbing in the big CNN sign, or smoking in front of the entrance. Yes the life he always dreamed of. "Folks please come down I won't ask you again," said Donovan frustrated. "Why can't we take a picture in the big C?" one visitor asked. "Because sir that is our policy and if you don't follow the rules I can't allow you into the building," Donovan said. Honestly I think it's a dumbass rule but I gotta enforce it.
"Ok officer no problem, but that kinda sucks you know," the visitor said. "Enjoy your visit folks," Donovan said. I hate my job. Why do I always seem to gt stuck out here in the afternoon heat on my Friday? I gotta find a new job.
"Yo what's good DFree?" Gavin asked. Gavin was good friends with Donovan. He was also helping him to lose some weight. "G-Money what's pop'n dude? Is second shift out yet?" Donovan asked. "Yeah they're out now. I am doing a double so I am here to relieve you," stated Gavin. They exchanged equipment. "So what are you planning tonight?" asked Gavin. "Well it feels like one of my migraines are about to come on so I'm just gonna go pick up a burger and a movie and chill at the crib," stated Donovan.
"Sounds good, but how about you get a salad or maybe a veggie burger? You're getting off easy today since I'm working a double but you can atleast eat healthy since you won't be working out today." Gavin said. "I know dude I'ma get a salad," Donovan said. I'ma get some lettuce and tomato on this double Whopper! " Yeah man hit me up tomorrow if you wanna get down the 360," Gavin said. "Ok G holla at you tomorrow." "Holla"
Donovan clocked out, grabbed his lunch bag, and headed for the train. While walking to the train he checked his phone and saw he had a text message from his brother Kris: "Don't forget to come over tonight so we can check out the Perseids. I fixed my telescope so we won't have to hold it. Holla Bruh!"
"Damn I forgot about the Perseids, but this headache is starting to come on pretty hard now. Gotta be from this heat." Let me text him that I'm gonna try to get rid of this headache first. It will be 4:30 by the time I get of the train and 5:00 by the time I get home after a quick stop to BK!
Donovan arrived home at 5:12 and put his gear away so he could relax and enjoy his meal. His headache was getting worse. The Perseids would start at 6:00 but would not be visible until around 9:00, or atleast that is what was predicted. Donovan popped two Excedrin and turned on the King of Queens.
The time is now 6:00 and the migraine is getting intense. What is going on? Itfeels like my head is going to explode! I need to lay down or something. The phone rings. It is Kris calling about the Perseids. "Hey bro what'sgoin on? My head is really killing me now so I don't think am gonna make it...." "Bruh go outside right now! You don't need to come over to see this shit! Go outside and look up now!" demanded Kris. "What the hell man!? Ok I'm going outside now. Ok I am looking up and....Oh damn! We should not be able to see the Perseids and we diffenitely shouldn't be able damn near touch them." stated Donovan amazed. The meteor shower which would have only been viewed at night in an area with few city lights was being viewed during the dayliht and it appeared as if the meteors were right above the city. "Dude my head is really throbing now I will call you back," Donovan stated with pain in his voice. He hung up his cell phone and went back inside and got in his bed. "AAAAAAARRRGHHH!" Donovan yelled. Oh my God what is happening to me? Why is this hurting so bad? I gotta call 911 where is my phone? Please stop hurting. Please. Before Donovan could get out of bed to get his phone he fainted. If he only knew that he was not the only one passed out at that very exact same time for the same reason. Tomorrow will be a new day and a new world.

Earth 2405
Well first let me start by saying thank you to you for taking the time to learn a little about me and what this blog is about. Every since I was a little boy I have been fascinated with heroes and fantasy worlds. I grew up on comics like X-Men, Superman, Batman, JLA, Spiderman and many others. I was no different then oter boys growing up, but I am still very fascinated by comic books and sci-fi.
This blog is going to help me fulfill one of my dreams. I have always wanted to be an entertainer and now I will try and entertain the world by writing a story I have been thinking about for years. I will be creating new heroes and villians and some new storylines for you to enjoy.
This story will be centralized around one particular character (TITAN) and his rise to become the greatest hero on the planet. He starts as a reluctant hero as the world over night blooms with super powered beings after the Perseids Meteor Shower unlikes a dormant gene in humans all around the world. One of the biggest hotbeds for this epidemic is Atlanta, GA. This is where our hero resides and will learn that what Uncle Ben told Peter was true "With great power comes great responsibility."
This is how I will begin this story and future stories to come. I hope that you enjoy what you read and you tell your friends and family so that they can enjoy a good story as well. Again I say thank you for your time.
